Sorry for the wait. Not great having to wait that long with a sick kid. Thankfully still massively quicker than the 2-6 hour wait at the Walk In clinic at Manor Hospital.

The other GP's will be busy with their own list of patients...so sometimes a little tricky to see extra patients...but sometimes not...maybe the doctor should have shouted the other Dr's to help if they were free. Fair point. I'll look into highlighting this.

Reassuring having been sent to A&E last week by Dr Lad. Dr Lad to keep watch on my kidney functions.

Finally saw Dr Harrison. Amazing as always, I was emotional but we talked and she listened feeling much more positive moving forward with treatment.

I've had to contact and visit the practice multiple times over the past month and I can't praise you all enough. I got a same day appointment when needed, a phone call within two hours after completing the online form and my scheduled telephone appointment happened a day early. Laura Huuelbee + Mony were brilliant + treated me with good care + professionalism. They are a credit to this practice. However, reception are another matter. I was told that there were no appointments with ANY Doctor for 2 weeks + that I could not book any appointment with ANY Doctor for 2 weeks + that I could not book any appointment for after 2 weeks and to ring daily in case one is later available. I said that I did not mind to wait more than 2 weeks PTO [Back of card] but reception would not even consider doing that, even when I said that Mony said that I should see a Dr. Basically, reception refused today to book me any appointment at any time with any doctor. Abysmal attitude ! From XX

Sorry, that's sounds frustrating. Reception are following the rules set out to them by those in charge of the practice. So please do not direct all your anger at them : ) As you can see from all the other feedback...the reception team are amazing, not abysmal. It's a simple problem = not enough doctors to see the massive increase in patients needing us. Nightmare for us all. Let's see if the NHS can be saved by the government.

No felt left with no real information - wait and see what happens?

Sorry to hear you are not happy with the plan. Not sure what the situation was, but 'watch and wait' is actually a common plan GP's use to see if things settle down or not. And obviously if your symptoms change, we would change our plan. We try to avoid a sledgehammer to a walnut approach as that can sometimes cause more harm than benefit e.g. lot's of tests, scans, referrals...that you did not need in the first place.

On Tuesday 13.02.24 I called for an emergency appointment for my 18month old son. He had attended clinic on Wed 07.02 for his MMR vaccination however following a review with Dr A it was decided he couldn't proceed with the vaccination and left with antibiotics for a chest infection. MMR re-booked for Thu 15.02 On Mon 12.02 my son was sent home from nursery with a high temp. His temp hit 40.5. I requested an appointment with Dr A as I have concerns that due to ongoing illnesses (every other week) that there was some other underlying issue. Also that we would potentially need to cancel his MMR vaccination again. I have always had very positive and supportive appointments with Dr A. No appointments were available however with Dr A and I was given an appointment with Dr X who I was told was a senior doctor and he would have two junior doctors with him, I was fine with this. This was the second time I had visited Dr X. Unfortunately this visit was consistent with my first visit and I wanted to feedback. Dr X was patronising and dismissive. This was exaggerated in front of the two junior doctors - I would go so far as to say 'showing off to my detriment. I was told to do what he does with his kids 'give calpol and ibuprofen'. I expressed that both myself and my partner were suffering due to the ongoing illnesses where nursery send home etc, we are under performing in our jobs - but no acknowledgment of this was made. The previous day I had actually placed an order for Sertraline and my intention was to follow this up in this appointment (to avoid needing another appointment to review) but I really didn't feel that
Dr X would be the right doctor to speak to. I attempted to explain what had been going on in the previous few weeks with my sons which I felt was pertinent to the current situation but he simply did not listen to me, assumed I was an inexperienced mum and simply needed to get on with it. A couple of weeks before I actually had an appointment with the female junior doctor in the room with Dr X - and I must say she was far more personable, she listened and was far more thorough in our conversation. I made the point of telling her this at the end of our appointment. I only hope she is not influenced by Dr X!

I’m sorry to hear you felt your difficulties at work were not heard by myself. Please rest assured I heard your difficulties. However, my focus was on your son’s illness. There is no easy answer for your disturbed sleep from your child's illness.
Please be reassured I was not showing off. I am confident in my abilities and do not need to show off.
It was reassurance I was giving to you that your son is not significantly ill and how to manage his care, not patronising.

I totally agree with you, I'm not the right doctor for your follow up.
The training doctors are very much influenced by me, as it is my job as a GP trainer.
