Child Development and Vaccinations
Tuesdays 11am to 1pm
This clinic is run for child developmental checks and immunisations and allow an opportunity to discuss other problems, eg sleeping, feeding and child health worries, with a GP or member of the Practice Nursing Team.
Asthma, Diabetes And Coronary Heart Disease
Patients with asthma, diabetes and CHD are seen on a regular basis by the practic nurse and/or the doctor, by appointment in the relevant clinic. We aim to complete your annual review for these and other conditions considered 'chronic' in the month of your birthday each year in addition or other planned reviews and appointments as necessary.
We fully support patients in choosing healthy lifestyles and promote the Walsall 'Stop Smoking' Specialist service which patients may self refer into by telephoning Walsall's 'One Call for All Team' on 01922 444044
We've engaged the services of 'Quit 51' smoking cessation services, who are running clinics on a Tuesday afternoon. Please ask your GP or nurse to refer you to this in-house service.
Weight Management Clinics
Obesity is a growing problem in this country. We strongly support patients in their desire to lose weight and GPs and Nurses help provide details of Healthy Lifestyle choices during consultations. We refer patients to the specialist services commissioned by the Walsall Clinical Commissioning Group via the 'One Call for All Team' on 01922 444044
Contraceptive care is provided by both the doctors and nurses during surgery hours. Several of our doctors and nurses have undertaken specific training that has enabled them to give a range of contraceptive advice. We provide a coil fitting and Implant Service by appointment.
The clinic is run by the practice nurses for smears, postnatal checks and discussion concerning women's health issues. These are suitable for women of all ages.
All the doctors carry out minor surgical procedures at the surgery by appointment and will be happy to advise you on this.
The doctors are happy to carry out medicals, eg insurance and driving licence, by appointment outside surgery hours. Please telephone the surgery for an appointment.

Patients Over 75 Years
If you are aged 75 years or over, you should be seen annually either by your doctor, the practice nurse, district nurse or health visitor. This can be arranged at the surgery or, if that is not possible due to infirmity, a home visit may be arranged.
Please make an appointment at least 10 weeks in advance of your holiday to ensure adequate cover. A charge will be made for certain immunisations and vaccinations which are not covered by the NHS. Visit our 'Holiday Health' section for more information.
An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes and residents of nursing and rest homes. It is also available free of charge to all patients over 65 years old and those who care for someone with a chronic illness.
Please contact the reception staff in September/October for details of the vaccination dates and to make an appointment. If you are unable to attend the surgery, a home visit may be possible to undertake this facility. Please note that since the demise of Walsall PCT in April 2013, over 65 year olds no longer receive an invitation letter from them. Please look out for the posters in the practice and messages on the website to remind you.
