It is with great sadness we announce the news that our long-serving GP Partner, Dr Julie Harrison has decided to retire at the end of November 2024. 

Dr Harrison joined Portland Medical Practice in August 1997 and over the years she has embraced the challenges the practice has faced including moving into Anchor Meadow Health Centre in 2000, the Retirement of her colleagues Dr Ruffles and Dr Flenley, working through the challenges faced with Covid-19 in 2020, and navigating the ever changing NHS. 

Over the past 27 years she has been valued by patients, colleagues and staff alike as a warm, generous and empathetic doctor treating patients of all ages and many walks of life. 

We’re sure that our patients will want to join us in sending our huge thanks to Dr Harrison, and wishing her a very happy retirement.
